While the Humanist and Solidarity Associations commemorate the sixtieth anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights,we can not accept the terms of this directive which:

• ALLOWS the possibility of confinement for foreigners up to eighteen months.......
• INSTITUTES a five year ban on European territory for the deportees,tending to criminalize them.
• Legalizes the return of undocumented migrants to countries where they have only transited,detention and forced expulsion of minors under eighteen years,even isolated,to countries other than their country of origin.
• And DOES NOT FORMALLY disallow the expulsion of seriously ill people who can not be treated in some countries.

In response to the action of many associations,NGOs or great consciences of this world

We call on all political leaders or associatives and all citizens to demand from the governments of the European Union,the non-adoption and the withdrawal of this directive that we regard as a ''directive of shame''.
